Tile roofing · Downey & LA County
Tile roofs deserve roofers who respect them.
Clay and concrete tile can outlast the paper underneath it. We repair, lift & relay, and install tile systems the way Southern California's best-looking streets expect.
From one slipped tile to a full lift & relay
Your existing tile reused wherever possible
Profile- and color-matched replacements
What we do
Tile work, from single pieces to whole systems.
Lift & relay
The SoCal classic: your tile comes off, new underlayment and flashing go in, the same tile goes back. Decades more life, same curb appeal.
Slipped & broken tile repair
Re-seated or replaced piece by piece, matched by profile and color as closely as the tile yard allows.
New tile installation
Clay or concrete systems installed to manufacturer spec — with the structure's weight capacity verified first.
Underlayment replacement
The tile isn't the waterproofing — the underlayment is. When it retires at 25–30 years, we renew it.
Ridge & hip rebedding
Cracked mortar caps re-bedded — or converted to modern mechanical fastening that doesn't crumble.
Valley & flashing metal
New metal where tile meets walls, chimneys, and valleys — where most "tile" leaks actually start.
The truth about tile
The tile lasts 50 years. The paper under it doesn't.
Most "failing" tile roofs in LA County are healthy tile sitting on retired underlayment. That's why lift & relay exists — and why we'd rather quote you one than a needless full roof replacement. A TYPICAL LIFT & RELAY:
Tiles lifted and stacked carefully on the roof
Old underlayment stripped; deck inspected & repaired
New high-temp underlayment + flashing metal installed
Your tile relaid, broken pieces swapped for matches
Ridges rebedded, site swept, warranty registered
Tile roofing questions, answered.
Almost never right away. Tile leaks usually trace to worn underlayment or flashing at specific points. A lift & relay renews the waterproofing while reusing your existing tile — a fraction of the disruption of full replacement.
Usually. Current profiles are ordered new; discontinued ones are matched from reclaimed-tile yards. On weathered colors the match is close rather than exact — we show you samples before committing.
Please don't. Tile cracks under point load, and most of the broken tiles we replace were stepped on. Our crews work off foam pads and know where the support is.
Homes framed for tile carry it fine. Switching from shingle to tile adds real weight, so we arrange a structural check first — no guessing involved.
